About Us
Golf Shepherd Tours was founded by Gary Chiste and Dean Iwamoto and has become the exclusive agent for Golf Scotland for all of Canada. Gary and Dean are both golf enthusiasts and are actively involved in the game of golf. Gary is a member of Heron Point Golf Club in Ontario and Royal Dornoch Golf Club in Dornoch, Scotland. He lived in Cardiff, Wales for two years and became passionate about true links golf and travel. Dean is a avid golfer who loves the game and its challenges. He was exposed to links golf on his trips to Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
Dean and Gary have travelled extensively throughout Scotland, Ireland, Wales, England, and the Southeast coast of the United States for leisure and golf trips. Having a passion for both golf and travel has led them to want to share their golf adventures with golf enthusiasts that seek to experience golf in its purest form. They look forward to assisting individual golfers, couples, foursomes, and golfing groups to realize their dream to golf the links of Scotland, Ireland, the rest of the United Kingdom, or into the Carolinas and Georgia. They experience joy and envy when planning a trip for a client as each golf trip that is planned is one that they would love to join. They are committed to planning land packages that address all the travellers’ needs including accommodations, transportation, golf, and specialty needs like tickets to Major tournaments. Whether it is a trip to the home of golf - St. Andrews, a trip to experience the Open Championship courses, or to play the hidden golf gems in Ireland and Scotland, our goal is to provide golfers with the ultimate golfing experience.
